STRATEGIC DIRECTIONS OF CHERKASY REGION' TOURISM DEVELOPMENT ; Стратегічні напрями розвитку туризму черкаського регіону

Abstract

The determination of actual local problems and challenges on the basis of formation of a strategic vision for the region's tourism industry is an essential prerequisite for its recognition. The aim of the article is to study the principles of strategic Cherkasy region' tourism development. The article defines the concepts of strategy and its importance in the development of tourism industry in the region. In analyzing the state of tourism industry of Cherkasy region special attention should be paid to existing tourist resources and the state of tourist infrastructure. Cherkasy region has objective preconditions for the development of tourism – natural-climatic, historical and cultural potential, able to attract a significant number of tourists. The strategic goal of tourism industry should be to create a competitive market tourism product. The main indicator of the strategy is to increase the number of tourists in the region. In implementing tourism development strategy needs to focus on a limited list of objects and promising activities. The leading role should belong to executive authorities and local governments broad public. ; У статті визначено поняття стратегії та її значення у розвитку туристичної галузі регіону. При аналізі стану туристичної галузі Черкаської області звернуто особливу увагу на наявні туристичні ресурси і стан туристичної інфраструктури. Констатується, що Черкаська область має об'єктивні передумови для розвитку туризму – природно-кліматичний та історико-культурний потенціал, здатний привабити значну кількість туристів. Стратегічною метою розвитку туристичної індустрії визначається створення конкурентоспроможного на ринку туристичного продукту. Головним індикатором стратегії є збільшення кількості туристів у регіоні. При реалізації стратегії розвитку туризму рекомендується зосередити зусилля на обмеженому переліку об'єктів і найперспективніших напрямів діяльності. Провідна роль має належати органам виконавчої влади та місцевого самоврядування з широким залученням громадськості.
