Abstract

The article analyses the basic factors (migration, political-juridical circumstances, adaptation) which had influenced the process of Russians' social integration in Lithuania from 1918 to 1940. Much attention was paid to the research of the social and cultural activity of interwar Russian intelligentsia in Lithuanian istoriography during the last 15 years. That's why the main object of this research are Russians as an integral ethnic community which consists of various social segments (peasants, workers, priests, etc.). It is concluded that the integration of Russians in Lithuania was largely determinated such dimensions like professional skills, educational level, literacy and strait.
