Abstract

Ira Davis writes from Norwich, Vermont, to Alden Partridge in Charlottesville, Virginia; gives Partridge the results of the local and state elections held at town meeting and also reports with news of Norwich University; they have organized the primary department at the university and developed plans for a mechanics department; they have about 30 students just now and need to raise funds to purchase buildings; have about 50 books in the library; what rent would Partridge ask for a school room in the north building for a female seminary? ; Transcription by John S.
