Letter from T.H. Fonda to Brother, February 1863
Abstract
On February 3, 1863, Ten Eyck Fonda, a Civil War soldier, writes to his Brother about being on the move and not able to write letters, the possibility of Negro regiments joining them, the establishment of a contraband school where he is stationed, and thanking him for sending newspapers.
