Letter from Nike to Brother, September 12, 1862

Abstract

On September 12, 1862, Ten Eyck Fonda, a Civil War soldier, writes to his Brother about his dissatisfaction that the telegraphic corps is not being established as a regular branch of the army as he had been led to believe and his lack of promotion in the Army while other less deserving men get promoted.
