Abstract
With remaining gaps in prosperity between its rural and urban areas, Uzbekistan is a country striving for inclusive economic growth. Since the country joined the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in 1995, ADB has approved more loans to Uzbekistan than to any other country in Central Asia. Uzbekistan has received 63 loans totaling $5.7 billion, including two private sector loans totaling $225 million, and $73.7 million in technical assistance grants.
