Abstract

Students and teachers of environmental sciences and other related engineers often perceive the need for sociological approximation to the content of their research disciplines and projects, but lack basic guidelines to enable them to embark on this approximation and possibly feel encouraged to deepen it. The aim of this text is to provide this basic guide and stimulus, showing the symbolic and disitalical dimension of all approaches to environmental issues and presenting the roudiments of qualitative methodologies for analysis, with particular emphasis on different techniques for analysing the speeches on these topics.
