La enseñanza de E/LE a inmigrantes en las Escuelas Oficiales de Idiomas de Andalucía : retos y propuestas

Abstract

La llegada a España de inmigrantes de diversa procedencia ha supuesto un reto para la sociedad de acogida y, en particular, para las diferentes Administraciones Públicas, como la educativa, que han debido adaptarse al perfil de una población muy heterogénea. En este contexto, este artículo analiza el papel de las Escuelas Oficiales de Idiomas en relación con la incorporación de los inmigrantes en la sociedad de acogida. Con este propósito, en este trabajo se describe, en primer lugar, el marco legislativo, estructural y organizativo de las Escuelas Oficiales de Idiomas, con especial atención al ámbito de Andalucía. En segundo lugar, se detalla el perfil y acceso del alumnado inmigrante; así como, en tercer lugar, la formación del profesorado en esta institución. En cuarto lugar, se repasan los retos educativos y las propuestas de inclusión de este alumnado en las Escuelas Oficiales de Idiomas. ; The arrival in Spain of immigrants from different countries has been a challenge for the host society and, in particular, for the different Public Administrations, such as education, which have had to adapt to the profile of a very heterogeneous population. In this context, this article analyzes the role of the Official Language Schools in relation to the incorporation of immigrants into the host society. With this purpose, this paper describes, first of all, the legislative, structural and organizational framework of the Official Schools of Languages, with special attention to the area of Andalusia. Secondly, the profile and access of immigrant students is detailed; as well as, thirdly, teacher training in this institution. Fourthly, the educational challenges and proposals for the inclusion of these students in the Official Language Schools are reviewed.
