Abstract

This article presents an analysis of the fundamental changes affecting the theoretical orientation of the European security in the post-Cold War World. The main objective is to investigate the development of new European security concepts in the context of European integration and to analyze the chief possibilities of establishing a new security paradigm with regard to the future development of the security policy of the European Union (EU). The starting point of the analysis is the social discourse on new risks and challenges for the European security and the relation between the perception of a list of new menaces and the formulation and formation of a new security policy. The focus of the study is the European Union and the contemporary discourses concerning the genesis of a new security paradigm fit to scale of the EU and its Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP). ; Este artículo presenta un análisis de los cambios fundamentales en la orientación teórica de la seguridad europea en el mundo post-Guerra Fría. El objetivo fundamental es investigar el desarrollo de nuevos conceptos de la seguridad europea en el contexto de la integración europea y analizar las principales posibilidades de establecer un nuevo paradigma de seguridad respecto al futuro desarrollo de la política de seguridad de la Unión Europea (UE). El punto de partida del análisis es el discurso social sobre nuevos riesgos y desafíos de la seguridad europea y la relación entre la percepción de una lista de nuevas amenazas y la formulación y formación de una nueva política de seguridad. El foco del análisis es la Unión Europea y los discursos contemporáneos en cuanto a la génesis de un nuevo paradigma de seguridad a escala de la UE y su Política Exterior y de Seguridad Común (PESC).
