Abstract

"A review of recent decisions in the U.S. Supreme Court, on this subject, with reference to decisions in other courts, in England and in the United States, pertinent thereto, and of reproachful methods in the decisions of the Supreme Court, in subverting the specific limitations provided by act of Congress, and displacing these limitations by substituting limitations of the Middle Ages and of foreign countries on the continent of Europe, which, as an invasion of the legislative power, Congress should not suffer to pass, without correction by legislative action, competent for it to undertake, under the politicial Constitution of the United States: Prepared for submission to the Judiciary Committee of the Senate and its Committee on Commerce, for the consideration of amendments to or a revision of the statutes." ; Mode of access: Internet. ; 17
