Social identity and cultural landscape in the Embera Chamí community from the San Cayetano village of the municipality of Supía, Caldas, Colombia ; Identidad social y paisaje cultural en la comunidad indígena Embera Chamí de la vereda San Cayetano del municipio de Supía, Caldas, Colombia

Abstract

Objective: This research article seeks to analyze the sociocultural dynamics given around the configuration of the relationship between social identity and the cultural landscape in the Embera Chamí indigenous community located in the San Cayetano village of the municipality of Supía, Caldas, Colombia. Methodology: From the description and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data, the historical identities, constituted by the political, economic, cultural, ecosystem and historical systems of the cultural landscape are realized. Finding: It is known that the cultural landscape is the result of the socio-cultural appropriation of nature, reflecting the social identity and the symbolic and functional assessment of the territory. Conclusion: The research that was carried out within the framework of the project "Socio-productive dynamics of cultural landscapes in the municipalities of Supía and Neira in the department of Caldas, Colombia", led by the research group Regional Studies: Society and Culture of the University National de Colombia allowed us to identify how shared identity consolidates and gives meaning to community life. ; Objetivo: Con el presente artículo de investigación se busca analizar las dinámicas socioculturales dadas en torno a la configuración de la relación entre la identidad social y el paisaje cultural en la comunidad indígena Embera Chamí ubicada en la vereda San Cayetano del municipio de Supía, Caldas, Colombia. Metodología: A partir de la descripción y análisis de datos cualitativos y cuantitativos se da cuenta de las identidades histórica, vivida y proyectual, constituidas por los sistemas político, económico, cultural, ecosistémico e histórico del paisaje cultural. Hallazgo: Se da a conocer que el paisaje cultural es el resultado de la apropiación sociocultural de la naturaleza, reflejando la identidad social y la valoración simbólica y funcional del territorio. Conclusión: La investigación que se desarrolló en el marco del proyecto "Dinámicas socioproductivas de los paisajes culturales en los municipios de Supía y Neira en el departamento de Caldas, Colombia", liderado por el grupo de investigación Estudios Regionales: Sociedad y Cultura de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia permitió identificar cómo la identidad compartida consolida y da sentido a la vida en comunidad.
