Plea of Hindus for equal rights

Abstract

This article describes a meeting of South Asian immigrants who passed resolutions of protest suing for equal rights as citizens of the British Empire and against Canada--s exclusionary immigration policies, particularly addressing the high --reasonable cash qualification-- requirement and the fact that South Asians were not permitted to bring their wives to Canada.
