Red de relaciones europeas del PNV (1945-1977)

Abstract

This paper analyses the relationships the Basque Nationalist Party (PNV, Partido Nacionalista Vasco) had in Europe from 1945 to 1977. Our main source of information has been all the documentation generated by the political party, taking into account both the national and international contexts. This European system of relationships follows a specific pro-European discourse the PNV designed soon after the Second World War. This political discourse remained the same during those years, but its implementation evolved along with the changes that took place in the international context. ; Este artículo estudia la red de relaciones que el PNV (Partido Nacionalista Vasco) mantuvo a nivel europeo desde 1945 hasta 1977. Para ello nos hemos basado principalmente en el análisis de las fuentes documentales del propio PNV, interpretadas a la luz del contexto nacional e internacional. Dicha red de relaciones responde a un discurso europeísta concreto, que el PNV diseña en los años inmediatamente posteriores al final de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Ese discurso se mantuvo prácticamente inalterado durante todos esos años, pero su aplicación práctica varió en función, sobre todo, de las transformaciones que tuvieron lugar a nivel internacional.
