Gottschee – Spielball der Politik ; Gottschee – The Political Treatment of Gottschee ; Kočevska v primežu politike

Abstract

Die vorliegende Arbeit zum Thema "Gottschee – Spielball der Politik" zeichnet die Behandlung der deutschen Minderheit durch unterschiedliche politische Mächte. Es wird ein knapper Einblick in die historischen sowie politischen Hintergründe gegeben, die für die Region Gottsche/Kočevje und die dort lebenden Gottscheedeutschen maßgebend waren, um aufzuzeigen, wie eine kleine "nationale" Minderheit mit ihrer Kultur und insbesondere ihrer Sprache zur "Spielfigur" der jeweils herrschenden Politik wurde. Die voranschreitende "Nazifizierung" seit 1939 und die damit verbundene Affinität der Gottscheer Deutschen zum Nationalsozialismus hatten im sozialistischen Jugoslawien unter Josip Broz Tito weitreichende Konsequenzen für die deutsche Minderheit. Ein wesentlicher Einschnitt ins Leben der Gottscheer Deutschen stellte zudem die Zwangsumsiedlung in das Deutsche Reich im Jahr 1941 dar, als Gottschee an Italien fiel. Letzten Endes verhinderten die antideutsche Stimmung nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg im sozialistischen Jugoslawien und das damit verbundene Vorgehen gegen die deutsche Minderheit die Entwicklung dieser Minderheit in Jugoslawien. ; The paper examines the treatment of German minorities by different political powers, depending on the corresponding political situation. It provides an overview of the historical and political background of the Kočevje region and the Gottscheer Germans living there, showing how a small 'national' minority with its own culture and above all its own language, could become a prominant political football of the powers that be. The progressive "Nazification" which had been in train since 1939 and the associated affinity of the Gottscheer Germans for National Socialism had far-reaching consequences for the German minority in socialist Yugoslavia under Josip Broz Tito. Furthermore, a major turning point in the lives of the Gottscheer Germans was their forced relocation to the German Reich in 1941 when the Gottschee fell under Italian control. Eventually, anti-German sentiment in communist Yugoslavia after World War II and the associated reprisals against the German minority held back this minority in Yugoslavia. ; V pričujočem prispevku o Kočevski in kočevskih Nemcih je prikazano, kako je v preteklosti na to nemško manjšino vplivala politika. Kratek pregled razmer razkrije zgodovinske in politične okoliščine, ki so bile za kočevsko regijo in tamkaj živeče kočevske Nemce odločilne, da je majhna "nacionalna" manjšina s svojo kulturo in še posebej s svojim jezikom postala "igračka" vsakokratne politike. Nacifikacija od leta 1939 naprej in s tem povezana naklonjenost kočevskih Nemcev do nacionalsocializma sta imeli za nemško manjšino v socialistični Jugoslaviji pod Josipom Brozom Titom daljnosežne posledice. Potem ko je Kočevska leta 1941 prišla pod Italijo, je življenje kočevskih Nemcev usodno zaznamovala prisilna preselitev v nemški rajh. Po 2. svetovni vojni pa sta razvoj nemške manjšine v socialistični Jugoslaviji ovirala protinemška nastrojenost in s tem povezan odklonilen odnos do nemške manjšine.
