A sustainable energy mix : An approach based on portfolio theory ; Choix d'un bouquet énergétique durable : Une approche par la théorie de portefeuille

Abstract

Energy has never been so much, in today's world, a question at the center of the concerns of governments and, more and more, of public opinion. As a result, energy management, development renewable energies, nuclear energy and, finally, the strengthening of research in the field of new energy technologies have become central subjects in the development strategies of nations and of the international community. As a result, Morocco has not remained outside this awareness. In addition, the place occupied by energy security in government policy and the growing interest of local communities.As an energy-energy-dependent country with around 96% of energy imported from foreign countries, Morocco has made progress in recent years to increase its energy security by planning to integrate more renewable energy into its energy mix. Therefore, the objective of this thesis is to propose a set of optimal energy mixes in electricity generation from various energy sources, such as gas, coal, nuclear, wind, photovoltaic and biomass. The optimization model minimizes various costs such as investment costs, operation and maintenance costs, fuel costs while respecting a set of technical feasibility constraints such as maximum shares of the different components of the mix. The results showed that this optimization model could generate a set of optimal energy mixes compared to the reference mix. The optimization model contributes more efficient and objective method to the complex decision-making process with a sustainability option. ; Jamais autant l'énergie n'a été, dans le monde actuel, une question au centre de l'inquiétude des gouvernements et, de plus en plus, des opinions publiques.
