War and Politics in the Río de la Plata: the Case of the Ejército Auxiliar del Perú (1810-1811) ; Guerra y política en el Río de la Plata: el caso del Ejército Auxiliar del Perú (1810-1811)

Abstract

In this paper we analyze the relation-ship between war and politics in the Rio de la Plata from the case of the 'Ejército Auxiliar del Perú' during the first campaign (1810-1811). In order to fill our objective, we will track, through the officers of the army, the main conflicts and how certain political princi-ples defined the reasons for the struggle. ; En el presente trabajo se analizará la relación entre guerra y política en el Río de la Plata a partir del caso del Ejército Auxiliar del Perú durante la primera campaña (1810-1811). Para ello se rastreará, a través de la oficialidad de dicho ejército, los principales conflictos y cómo se hicieron presentes ciertos principios políticos que definieron los motivos de la lucha.
