Cuatro décadas al Pacífico : editorial

Abstract

The Institute of International Studies of the University of Chile publishes this special issue of International Studies on trans-Pacific cooperation within the framework of APEC, on the occasion of the various technical meetings that this Association will hold in Chile in 2004 and which will culminate with the summit of Heads of State and Government. Trans-Pacific cooperation is a theme that has occupied the Institute since its creation in 1966, even before the first expressions of cooperation across the Pacific. Finally, this has become an objective and a national and regional heritage to which this special issue wishes to contribute. ; El Instituto de Estudios Internacionales de la Universidad de Chile publica este número especial de Estudios Internacionales sobre la cooperación transpacífico en el marco de la APEC, con motivo de los varios encuentros que organismos técnicos de esta Asociación realizarán en Chile en 2004 y que habrán de culminar con la cumbre de Jefes de Estado y de Gobierno. La cooperación transpacífico es un tema que ocupa al Instituto desde su creación en 1966 incluso con anterioridad a las primeras expresiones de la cooperación a través del Pacífico. Finalmente, esta se ha transformado en un objetivo y en un patrimonio nacional y regional al cual este número especial desea contribuir.
