Abstract

La sociedad actual está caracterizada por la inestabilidad, el miedo y por algunos de sus síntomas o enfermedades, como son la hiper-especialización, la dependencia, el corporativismo y el localismo, en un contexto de mercados globalizados y del incremento de la desigualdad social. Frente a estas enfermedades está la autonomía y la participación directa de personas y colectivos. Desde las ciencias sociales se han desarrollado, desde hace bastantes años, teorías y metodologías que favorecen estos valores de profundización democrática. Una de las corrientes metodológicas que ha demostrado su utilidad es la conocida como Investigación-Acción Participativa (IAP). Método que ha utilizado las técnicas cuantitativas y cualitativas con un enfoque diferente al tradicional y que desarrollando sus propias técnicas, como es la construcción de mapas sociales, útil para conocer la estructura de las redes sociales._______________________________The actuality society are characterised by instability, fear and some of the illness or indications, as is the hyper-specialization, the dependence, the corporate spirit and the localism, in a context of globalization markets and the increase of the social inequality. Opposite to these illnesses it is the autonomy and the direct participation of persons and collectives. From the social sciences there have developed, for years, theories and methodologies that facility these values of democratic deepening. One of methodologies that has prove its utility is the Participative Action-Research. This method has used quantitative and qualitative techniques with a different approach from the traditional one, and developing its owns technologies, as the construction of social maps, useful for know the structure of social networks.
