Économie des addictions et attitude face au risque en santé

Abstract

Les travaux présentés s'articulent autour de deux axes construits de manière à la fois thématique (fonctionnement des marchés de biens addictifs d'une part ; comportement individuel face à des décisions risquées dans le domaine de la santé d'autre part) et méthodologique (analyse de données existantes d'une part ; production de données par enquête ou expérience d'autre part). L'axe consacré à l'économie des addictions présente des contributions s'interrogeant sur le lien entre addiction et rationalité, sur le comportement des offreurs de biens addictifs et sur le développement d'indicateurs pour le pilotage des politiques publiques, avec une application au secteur des jeux de hasard et d'argent. Le second axe regroupe des contributions portant sur la comparaison du pouvoir prédictif de différents types de mesure de l'attitude face au risque chez des médecins généralistes, les déterminants de l'attitude face à la vaccination de médecins généralistes français, les caractéristiques de la disposition à payer pour éviter une douleur et l'impact de différents types d'avertissements sanitaires sur l'aversion pour le tabac. Dans la mesure où les comportements addictifs expriment également une attitude face au risque dans le domaine de la santé, il existe naturellement des ponts entre les deux axes proposés. De manière globale, les travaux présentés nous semblent contribuer, pour un ensemble de thématiques sanitaires, à une meilleure connaissance des comportements individuels et de leurs implications collectives. ; The work presented is structured around two axes, both thematic (the functioning of markets for addictive goods on the one hand, and individual behavior towards risky decisions in the field of health on the other) and methodological (analysis of existing data on the one hand, and production of data through surveys or experiments on the other). The axis devoted to the economics of addictions presents contributions questioning the link between addiction and rationality, the behavior of suppliers of addictive goods, and the development of indicators for the monitoring of public policies, with an application to the gambling sector. The second axis includes contributions on the comparison of the predictive power of different types of risk attitude measures among general practitioners, the determinants of the attitude towards vaccination of French general practitioners, the characteristics of the willingness to pay to avoid pain and the impact of different types of health warnings on tobacco aversion. Insofar as addictive behaviors also express an attitude towards risk in the health field, there are naturally bridges between the two proposed axes. Overall, the work presented seems to us to contribute to a better understanding of individual behaviors and their collective implications for a range of health issues.
