Abstract

Telegrams exchanged between Gen. Plutarco Elías Calles and the following people: private citizens, Regional Chambers of Labor, the President of the Pacific Bank, Mayors, Congress representatives, the President of the Chamber of Commerce from Selaya, Guanajuato, State Committees of the National Revolutionary Party, the Socialist Party, the Secretary General of the Union of Packers, the president of the Union of Stevedores and Aligners from the Port of Mazatlán, the Secretary General of the Union of Railroad Workers, the President of the Union of Inspectors, the Union of Railroad Workers, the Union of Female Workers of Mills, Consuls, Military Commanders, the Union of Agrarian Towns of the Southeast, the President of the Pro-Cárdenas Election Headquarters from Mérida, Yucatán, the President of the State Committee from the state of Saltillo, Cohauila, and the president of the Supreme Justice Tribunal from San Luis Potosí. The aforementioned telegrams concern requests for appointments, endorsement, confirming the arrangement of negotiations with the Pacific Bank to make business in Nogales, confirming the purchase of a branch of the Mercantile Bank, information of the election conflict in Orizaba, Veracruz, confirming the social peace status in the state of Chiapas, a request for making a deposit of funds, military matters, report on the smear campaign against Melchor Ortega, Governor of Guanajuato, report about the election conflict in Saltillo, Cohauila, information about the suspension of judicial activities in San Luis Potosí, information about results of the Plebiscite in Campeche, Guanajuato, Mérida, Yucatán, Monterrey, Nuevo León, Piedras Negras, Cohauila, Puebla, Oaxaca and Mexico, Federal District, cancelling scheduled appointments, report about damages in Soledad de la Mota, Nuevo León, a request for assisting with the revision of job contracts for railroad workers, scheduling appointments, submission of a matter to the Secretariat of Communications, replies of acknowledgement, a notice indicating that Gen.
