Abstract

Telegrams exchanged between Gen. Plutarco Elías Calles and the following people: the Union of Omnibus pass cashiers, the Confederation of Commerce from Guadalajara; the Union of public spectacle workers, Governors, the Feminist Circle of the West, the Socialist Party from Guerrero; the National Bank of Agricultural Credit, the Union of Stagehands, Electricians, and Similar Workers; the Union of Company Workers from the Port of Veracruz; Municipal Committees of the National Revolutionary Party, his personal secretary Soledad González, private citizens, Commanders of Military Operations, the Head Secretary of the National Chamber of Labor, relatives, the Trade Agent of National Railroads, the National League of Peasants, Mayors, the Parents Revolutionary Front, the Confederation of Workers and Peasants' Unions from Jalisco, the President of the Patriotic Committee from Dallas and Congress representatives. The aforementioned telegrams concerned protests against students' riots in Jalisco; confirming the expulsion of congressmen from the Socialist Party in the state of Guerrero; a request for loans to the ejidatarios [farmers] from Ciudad Jiménez, Coahuila; a request for reparations of the Revolution, confirming the beginning of meetings of rice growers; allegations of campaign actions against the candidate to senator in Veracruz; shipping of oranges trees, requests for appointments, a notice about the social peace in the state of Chiapas; a petition to solve the drainage issue in Veracruz by accepting advice provided by Mr. Morales Hesse; approval of issuance of train passes; a report about the continuation of processing the banana business matter; paperwork processing for the Chapultepec Cotton Mill; a notice about the inauguration of the Congress of Community Leagues in Colima; a request for job reinstatement; arrangements for the corn pledge program; a request to make sure that the work contract in the drainage of Veracruz be fully accomplished; an invitation to travel to Oaxaca; family matters; a report about the establishment of Warehousing facilities in Yucatán; an invitation to a livestock fair; shipping of fifteen fight roosters; a report of mismanagement and embezzlement in Chihuahua, confirming the construction of a memorial site to the Revolution of 1910, confirmation of the solution to the students' conflict in Durango; a request to support the resistance to the Huertistas and Felixistas in Jalapa, Veracruz; a notice about the establishment of an electoral college in Tepic, Nayarit; confirmation of having assumed office of the Governor in Zacatecas by Gen.
