SOCIAL MOBILIZATION OF WOMEN IN PANAMA ; MOVILIZACIÓN SOCIAL DE LAS MUJERES EN PANAMÁ

Abstract

In this essay I make a recount of the social mobilization of women in Panama, throughout the decades of XX century XXI century, in which groups organized by them, as they have manifested in favor of and against those joint and structural events that have allowed changes to the legal and normative framework of our Nation-State. I present some background that places women in the search for the construction of a democratic, participatory and egalitarian Panamanian society that establishes equal opportunities as the most just aspiration of humanity ; En este ensayo hago un recuento de la movilización social de las mujeres en Panamá, a lo largo de las décadas del siglo XX al siglo XXI; en las que grupos organizados por ellas se han manifestado en favor y en contra de esos eventos coyunturales y estructurales que han permitido los cambios al marco jurídico y normativo de nuestro Estado-Nación. Presento algunos antecedentes que ubican a la mujer en la búsqueda por la construcción de una sociedad panameña democrática, participativa e igualitaria que establece la igualdad de oportunidades como la aspiración más justa de la humanidad.
