Abstract

The paper deals with the study of realization of the speech act of threat in American diplomatic dis-course. This article covers different types of speech acts of threat: threat-penalty, threat-warning, threats with direct and indirect meaning, etc. The article also examines the concept and role of a speech situation in the menacing. The urgency of the study is determined by the demand for researching into twiplomacy as a new phenomenon of international relationships in the situation of political conflict. ; Статья посвящена изучению реализации речевого акта угрозы в американском политическом дискурсе.
