Understanding Decision-Making Processes to Meet or Exceed BASIX Requirements

Abstract

This report provides an understanding of how decisions are made throughout the whole residential building process in meeting or exceeding BASIX minimum requirements for new residential buildings with a focus on energy efficiency performance. It identifies the key market segments within the residential building sector and highlights the key challenges, influences and drivers in meeting and exceeding BASIX minimum requirements. The insights generated from this project can provide the NSW Government with effective and targeted interventions to support and drive improved energy efficiency outcomes across the residential building sector.
