Mining Districts of the Urals: Establishment and Structure in the 18th – early 20th Century ; Горнозаводские округа на Урале: формирование и состав в XVIII – начале XX в

Abstract

The article studies the evolution of the main structural elements of Ural metallurgy, i. e. state and private mining enterprises between the 18th – early 20th century. The author determines the main characteristics of the mining districts' economy, describes their formation process in the lands owned by the largest entrepreneur dynasties of the Demidov, Stroganov, Yakovlev, etc. Additionally, the article describes the economic, political and legal factors that influenced the changes in the number of districts during all the periods of Ural metallurgy development in the Russian Empire. ; В статье прослеживается эволюция основных структурных элементов уральской металлургии – казенных и частных горнозаводских округов – в XVIII – начале XX в. Определены базовые характеристики окружного хозяйства, представлен процесс формирования округов на основе владений крупнейших предпринимательских родов Демидовых, Строгановых, Яковлевых и др., выявлены экономические, политические и юридические факторы, влиявшие на перемены в составе округов во все периоды развития уральской металлургии в рамках Российской империи.
