Abstract

El texto ofrece un trabajo teórico que reflexiona sobre la histórica interacción entre el Estado nacional y la etnicidad aymara en Chile. En este sentido, el artículo ofrece un análisis de trayectoria sobre el objeto, considerando la complejidad que implica una relación bidireccional entre colectivos diferentes. El texto sugiere como hipótesis que el nexo entre ambas realidades tiene antecedentes de larga data, debido a que las comunidades andinas aymaras no se explican sin una larga interacción entre sus organizaciones políticas domésticas con el sistema político chileno. En este sentido, tanto la etnicidad como la identidad étnica aymara es resultado de un prolongado período de interacción social con el Estado nacional. Así, se observa una compleja negociación de la identidad colectiva indígena en el extremo norte de Chile. The text offers a theoretical work that reflects on the historical interaction between the national State and the Aymara ethnicity in Chile. In this sense, the article offers a trajectory analysis of the object, considering the complexity involved in a bidirectional relationship between different groups. The text suggests as a hypothesis that the link between the two realities has a long history, because the Aymara Andean communities do not explain themselves without a long interaction between their domestic political organizations with the Chilean political system. In this sense, both ethnicity and Aymara ethnic identity are the result of a prolonged period of social interaction with the national State. Thus, there is a complex negotiation of indigenous collective identity in the extreme north of Chile.
