Abstract

Tafari Campbell, a White House sous chef later hired as a personal chef by Barack and Michelle Obama, died while paddleboarding in a pond near the Obamas' Martha's Vineyard home. Police say his death wasn't suspicious, but social media was soon abuzz with conspiracy theories.
