The following corrections should be made to this article: Page 31, line 1: 'reconstructed' should read 'reconstituted'. Page 31, line 14: 'mankind', should read 'humankind'. Page 31, line 44: at the end of the line, after the dash it should read 'not, however, displaced "since the seventeenth century", but displaced in …….'
