Abstract

These items are selected, annotated, and coded by the ABS staff in a periodic search of issues of 360 journals and reviews, including about 100 that are published outside the United States, and from announcements and review copies of books and fugitive materials recently published. Some items are boxed for emphasis. Code numbers which appear after each item refer to a detailed index of topics dealt with and methods used, which appears immediately following the listing of new studies. The rationale underlying the selection of items is: What might a professional person read to keep abreast of the development of method and content in the various areas of the study of man.
