Abstract

The «costs and profits» involved in immigration.
The theory of the relative costs and profits involved in immigration, apart from revealing the status of the immigrant, helps to disguise what is in essence a political and ethical matter by employing more convenient terms of a «technical» nature. In reality, this theory involves political stand-points and thus provides grounds for real social contention.
