Abstract

The book tries to record and assess the key elements of Cosatu's history. It explores Cosatu's alliances with the African National Congress and the South African Communist Party. It dissects its major campaigns for a living wage and new labour legislation. It also describes the federation's politics and the debates and differences which at times threatened to wreck in from within. (DÜI-Sbd)
