Assessing the impact of financial instability: the Jamaican case study

Abstract

This study highlights the results of an analysis of the effect of financial instability on the performance of financial sector intermediation in Jamaica. It was shown that in some instances, stringencies associated with financial instability can force higher levels of efficiency in relatively large institutions. (Iberoamericana/GIGA)
