Abstract

"India has been experiencing a significant transition as the new generation born after the economic reforms in 1991 has emerged as a main player in the Indian society. Now in their 20s and 30s, this generation has different attitudes and preferences toward religion, politics and consumption from their parents. As a result, the country is also witnessing rapid changes. This book seeks to explore great transition in India through interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary perspectives on topics such as digital India, foreign policy and social identity including caste.
