Describes a new type of state junvenile institution, the Reception and Diagnostic Center which is already playing a vital role in the diagnosis and care of delinquent children. The contributors include material on the history and philosophy of these centers and describe in detail how the various mental health disciplines of psychiatry, psychology, and social work are utilized in the diagnostic process
