Abstract

Students at universities of applied sciences still differ significantly from students at universities in a range of individual and institutional characteristics. Therefore students attain different evaluations and different wishes for improvement. If the subject level is included, then many intra- and inter-institutional differences emerge and indicate a very complex picture of the levels in institutions of higher education. The use of dimensions of disciplinary cultures can show that universities of applied sciences will form an own study culture, which differs explicit from the universities.
