Abstract
A loglinear analysis was conducted of the processing by a midwestern metropolitan juvenile court of 9,223 delinquency cases to demonstrate recent changes in justice research. By focusing on several stages within the decision-making process (detention, screening, & final disposition), the impact that early decisions have on subsequent decisions is examined, & the interdependence of legal variables (offense type, prior record), social variables (race, gender), & process variables (detention decision, screening decision) illustrated. 6 Tables, 26 References.
