Modelos de democracia paritaria desde una optica comparada
In: Revista de estudios políticos, Heft 159
Abstract
The text wants to study how the political parity between men and women is adopted in some of the main democratic systems. In order to it, we will follow a classic structure, the one that divides those in common-law models, and continental-law models, paying special attention to the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Belgium, France, Italy, Sweden, Norway and Denmark. To accomplish the issue, it will be shown some data of the feminine presence in Parliaments, the principal reasons of it, and the constitutional debates produced due to the promotional measures given. It finishes with a core-conclusion, which sets out that the political parties are the main factor of the change, but maybe also of the backwards steps observed. Adapted from the source document.
