The political economy of the people's welfare: an initial presentation

Abstract

The notion of the people's welfare is one used to capture an arena of intellectual debate which cuts across the artificial boundaries created by academic specialisation in the social sciences, and, in the process, highlights a fundamental paradox of the dynamic of the political economy of industrial societies.
