Describes the activities of the Salecina Vacation & Education Center in Alpine Maloja, Switzerland, which, since its 1971 founding, has housed more than 10,000 mostly German- & Italian-speaking artists, intellectuals, & leftist theorists & activists. The retreat was started by journalist & agitator Theo Pinkus & his wife, Amalie Pinkus-De Sassi, & has been visited by members of numerous leftist, alternative, & green groups, parties, & movements.
