Abstract
A review article on six books (see listings in IRPSPPD No. 22) that explore issues surrounding trading strategies & the role of foreign capital in the development process. Topics discussed include: the relationship between transnational corporations & less-developed countries, the extent & determinants of intraindustry trade, export-oriented industrialization, the internationalization of industry & the evolution of public policy in less developed countries since WWII, & the industrial restructuring since the 1960s that has affected spatial patterns of industrial organization on a global scale & resulted in an internationalized industrial division of labor. 5 References.
