Points out that Quranic prohibitions against interest & uncertainty make most mortgages unacceptable for Muslims living in the US. However, innovative lending institutions in many states have expanded Muslim home ownership by using murabaha financing to create Sharia-compliant mortgages in which the lender & homebuyer are co-owners of the property.
