Abstract

An exploration of how militarism has exacerbated the crisis of reconstruction in Angola following the war with South Africa. The defeat of the South African Defense Forces at Cuito Cuanacale is described as the turning point in the militarization process that opened the way for a genuine decolonization of Namibia.
