Abstract
A review essay on 8 books discussing the role of the international community & the broader impact of NATO's intervention. It is suggested that many volumes addressing the international dimensions of the conflict collude to support the idea that an international dimension did not exist until 1998. Addressed are (1) NATO's decision to conduct Operation Allied Force, (2) the legality of NATO's actions, (3) the effectiveness of the campaign, & (4) the meaning of the intervention for international society. At issue is the continued oversight of critical issues despite the plethora of scholarship. J. Backman
