Abstract
Humanitarian efforts in developing and implementing Russia's foreign policy in the era of globalization are examined, focusing on the role human rights has played in the new world order's formation and the emergence of the concept of "soft power" in geopolitical developments. There is a direct correlation between Russia's national interest and a focus on human security issues such as decent living standards, food security and freedom from the threat of violence.
