Abstract

Proposes some general ideas concerning the actual state of the political construction of Europe, which finds itself at an impasse. Blinded by the so-called "American model" & the inadmissible fear of a unified Germany, whose strong ambition in Central Europe is worrisome to all, the European leaders focus on enlargement in the East, thereby forgetting their Mediterranean partners. The author proposes the promotion of a European & Mediterranean Council, instead of the Maastricht Europe. Adapted from the source document.
