Abstract

This article criticizes the effects of technological development on the different social layers. Even if this development cannot be reached by the population as a whole, mainly due to economic factors, the author classifies the social layers that coexist in techno-hominids & regular people, therefore creating a "social salad" that breaks up in communities trying to achieve development according to the theory of equality. She proposes that the scientific & technological knowledge available to humanity must guarantee each individual not only a standard of living that satisfies his essential material needs, but also his complete & active inclusion into society (culture, family, friends). True universalization of technological achievements must result in both social & economic benefits for everybody. Adapted from the source document.
