El objetivo de este proyecto fue desarrollar estrategias metodológicas que permitiesen a los alumnos de educación secundaria de diferentes países trabajar el área de ciencias sociales de un modo activo. Durante el bienio 2014-2016, seis centros educativos de España, Alemania, Turquía, Polonia, Rumanía y Portugal llevaron a cabo un proyecto de innovación educativa, dentro del marco del programa Erasmus, subvencionado por la Unión Europea. El método supuso la combinación de dos campos diferentes, las ciencias sociales y las historias de vida como estrategia para crear una dinámica de trabajo activa y participativa entre el alumnado, utilizando cuestionarios, búsqueda de información y entrevistas a familiares. Entre los resultados, destaca el video documental con entrevistas. Además, incidir en el impacto sobre los participantes relativo a su progreso personal, desarrollo de sus destrezas interpersonales, su capacidad de comunicación, especialmente en el uso del inglés y la oportunidad de colaborar con alumnos y profesores de otros países en un proyecto educativo conjunto. ; The objective of this project was to develop methodological strategies to work in the area of social sciences in an active way with second-ary school students from different countries. During the 2014-2016 biennium six schools from Spain, Germany, Turkey, Poland, Romania and Portugal carried out an educational innovation project within the framework of the Erasmus program, funded by the European Union. The method rested on the combination of two different fields, social sciences and life stories as a strategy to promote active and participatory teamwork among the students, using questionnaires, information searches and interviews with their relatives. Šī maģistra darbs analīzē Deivida Mitčela politisko romānu Mākoņu Atlants, koncentrējoties uz apspiedošas varas izpausmēm, ka arī uz darbībām kas pretojas šai varai. Darbs apskata radītas ideoloģijas un to ietekmi uz sabiedrību, ka arī to ka paša vara izmanto un veido zināšanas lai pati sevi paplašināt. Šīs pētījums koncentrējas uz četrām apspiedošas varas izpausmes veidiem: autoritāro valsts varu, koloniālo varu, patriarhālo varu un institūciju varu. Pētījums izmanto piederošas kritiskas literatūras koncepcijas un metodes lai sasniegtu labāku izpratni par varas un tai pretošanās diskursiem. Pētījums izmeklē katru stāstījuma daļu ņemot vērā vienu no šīm teorijām: Fuko (Foucault) kritisko teoriju, feminisma kritisko teoriju, postkoloniālo kritiku, ka arī diezgan jaunu teoriju – vecāku cilvēku diskriminācijas teoriju (ageism). ; The present Master thesis analyses David Mitchell's political novel Cloud Atlas, focusing on oppressive power manifestations as well as on the actions of resistance to power. More specifically, it examines produced ideologies and their influence on a society, as well as how power uses and creates knowledge to augment itself. The current research concentrates on four types of oppressive power manifestations: authoritarian state power, colonial power, patriarchal power and power of total institutions. In order to reach a better understanfing of discourses of power and resistance, the research employs relevant concepts and methods of Critical theory. That is, the present research looks at each narrative in the sequence of the novel from the point of view of one or more of the following literary and critical theories: Foucauldian criticism, feminist criticism, postcolonial criticism, and, a relatively new one – ageism.

The article briefly presents the US National Archives, where a number of documents important for the history of the Lithuanian diplomacy, as well as a document significant for the history of the Lithuanian diaspora and its political organizations, are preserved. One of them is Memorandum of Conversation dated 2 February 1949 and prepared by John D. Hickerson, an official of the US Department of State. It extensively describes his meeting and conversations with members of the Supreme Committee for the Liberation of Lithuania, the Prelate Mykolas Krupavičius and Vaclovas Sidzikauskas, who for the first time visited the US and were accompanied to the meeting by the then Lithuanian Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary Povilas Žadeikis. Memorandum of Conversation is introduced into scientific circulation through methods of archival document monitoring and case analysis, as well as additional tools (such as periodicals and memoirs, archival documents) and based on the principles of document publication. The document published for the first time, as a primary source, supplements the data of Lithuanian historiography, gives a broader content to the known fact, reinforces the scientific research base on the history of Lithuanian diplomacy, the history of the Lithuanian diaspora's political organizations and separately– the history of Lithuanian-the US bilateral diplomatic relations. ; Straipsnyje trumpai pristatomas JAV nacionalinis archyvas, kuriame yra saugomas ne vienas Lietuvos diplomatijos istorijai, taip pat Lietuvos išeivijos ir jos politinių organizacijų istorijai svarbus dokumentas. Pasitelkus archyvinio dokumento stebėjimo ir atskiro atvejo analizės metodus, taip pat papildomus įrankius (kaip periodiniai šaltiniai ir memuaristika, archyviniai dokumentai) bei remiantis dokumento publikavimo principais,Memorandum of Conversationyra įvedamas į mokslinę apyvartą. Pirmą kartą skelbiamas dokumentas, kaip pirminis šaltinis, papildo lietuviškos istoriografijos duomenis, suteikia žinomam faktui platesnį turinį, sutvirtina mokslinių tyrimų šaltinių bazę Lietuvos diplomatijos istorijos, Lietuvos išeivijos politinių organizacijų istorijos bei atskirai Lietuvos ir JAV dvišalių diplomatinių santykių istorijos tema.

Прослежены основные этапы и направления преподавания и исследований истории России на историческом факультете Белорусского государственного университета в XX – начале XXI в. Изучение истории России началось с момента открытия университета в 1921 г. и связано с именем первого ректора В. И. Пичеты. В сложных политических условиях работали белорусские россиеведы в 1920–30-е гг. В последующие десятилетия интерес университетских историков к истории России снизился, исследователи сконцентрировались на белорусской проблематике. Только с середины 1970-х гг. произошел возврат к изучению различных аспектов российской истории. Это касается проблем XIX – начала ХХ в. и связано с именем профессора И. В. Оржеховского. Показано формирование школы специалистов-россиеведов на возрожденной в 1998 г. кафедре истории России. Рассматриваются основные направления современной исследовательской и преподавательской практики коллектива кафедры, которые связаны с широким хронологическим и тематическим спектром проблем: от налогов/дани в период древнерусской истории до причин и последствий сталинизма, от внешнеполитических обстоятельств формирования российской государственности до современных политических процессов на постсоветском пространстве. На кафедре истории России по-прежнему активно изучается XIX в. Исследования гармонично дополняют общепрофессиональную дисциплину «История России и Украины», а также всевозможные дисциплины специализации и дисциплины по выбору для студентов ведущего белорусского университета. ; Traced the main stages and directions of research of XX – beginning of XXI century at the Department of history of Russia of Belarusian state University on the history of Russia. The study of the history of Russia began with the opening of the Belarusian State University in 1921 and is associated with the name of its first rector V. I. Picheta. The Belarusian historians specialising in Russian history worked under difficult political conditions in the 1920–30s. In subsequent decades, historians at the University have reduced their interest in Russian history, focusing on the problems of history of Belarus. Only since the mid-1970s there was a return to the study of various aspects of Russian history. It concerns the problems of the XIX – early XX century associated with the name of Professor I. V. Orzechowskiy. Shows the formation of restored in 1998 the Department of Russian history school of specialists in Russian history. The main directions of modern researches and teaching experience of teachers in the Department are considered in the article. They are associated with a wide chronological and thematic range, from issues of taxes and tribute in the Ancient period of Russian history to the causes and consequences of Stalinism; from the foreign circumstances of formation of the Russian statehood to the modern political processes in post-Soviet space. Still actively studied Russian history of the XIX century. Research harmoniously complement the content of General professional discipline «History of Russia and Ukraine», all sorts of disciplines of specialization and elective courses for students of the Belarusian State University. = Прасочаны асноўныя этапы і напрамкі даследаванняў гісторыі Расіі на гiстарычным факультэце Беларускага дзяржаўнага ўнiверсiтэта XX – пачатку XXI ст. У складаных палітычных умовах працавалі беларускія расіязнаўцы ў 1920–30-я гг. У наступныя дзесяцігоддзі цікавасць універсітэцкіх гісторыкаў да гісторыі Расіі зменшылася, даследчыкі сканцэнтраваліся на беларускай праблематыцы. Толькі з сярэдзіны 1970-х гг. адбыўся зварот да вывучэння розных аспектаў расійскай гісторыі. Гэта датычыцца праблем XIX – пачатку ХХ ст. і звязана з імем прафесара І. В. Аржахоўскага. Даследаванні гарманічна дапаўняюць агульнапрафесійную дысцыпліну «Гісторыя Расіі і Украіны», а таксама разнастайныя дысцыпліны спецыялізацыі і дысцыпліны па выбары для студэнтаў беларускага ўніверсітэта.

The thesis: British Victorian jewelry has the power to function as both subject matter and a point of departure for the lively, interdisciplinary study of nineteenth-century Britain. The study begins with an object, a jewel in the hand, understood as an artifact. The beauty, wearability, intrigue, and history of antique jewelry gives it the power to launch historical inquiry and to provide concrete access to the past. Visual, oral, and print resources, along with other period objects from the arts and social sciences are then used to help reveal, enrich, and expand the historical meanings embedded in the jewels. This paper demonstrates numerous ways to examine a jewel to discover what it reveals about its own history, and the historical information that it points to about Victorian Britain. From the style, construction techniques, materials, and the design intentions of the jeweler, the research expands to consider social, cultural, economic and political issues that shaped nineteenth-century Britain and the jewelry that Victorian Britain produced. This method uses visual, photographic, and advertising images, the material culture resources found in museums, universities, special exhibitions, and retail collections, monographs on local, national, and international issues, literature of the era, along with biography, economic, industrial, class, social, artistic and cultural histories to develop and inform the discoveries made from handling the jewelry. Using information from a variety of perspectives, the jewelry can then help the historian create social, economic, political, cultural, and ideological commentary on the era and the society that produced it. Like the jewelry it studies, this interdisciplinary analysis reveals a diversity and variety in nineteenth-century Britain that reflects the sweeping, economic, and technological change brought about by industrialization, investment, imperialist expansion and trade, and the new social and political forces that growth and development unleashed. The interconnected actions among these forces shaped the life, thought, and the jewelry created during the nineteenth-century in Britain. Now, that legacy of connections facilitates the hands-on, interdisciplinary study of British Victorian jewelry, a study that develops historical competence about this exceptional jewelry, while tangibly enriching the historical understanding and appreciation of nineteenth-century Britain.
