In this essay the author presents an expanded genre view to examine global diffusion of interactive technologies in this increasingly globalized world. Through an analysis of its generic features, the author explores how Sina Weibo, a technology considered as a copycat of a Western technology, arises as a local uptake in a discourse of global technology diffusion. In studying its struggle and resistance, the author shows how a local uptake is shaped by the implicit value and ideology of the technology it imitates from. Meanwhile, this diffusion process is also a process of enacting the emergent structure of local technology use. The dynamic and dialogical structuring process behind genre formation worldwide manifests the complex interactions of technology and culture in our contemporary conditions.

Рассмотрены некоторые исторические этапы в формировании имиджа как научной категории. Подробно изучены имиджи, которые существовали в разные исторические эпохи. Уделено внимание наиболее действенным и ярким образам политических лидеров. ; The author examines the history of the formation of the phenomenon of the political leader image. In the work the author defines the essence of the concept of "political image" and its main functions. Consider some historical stages in the formation of the "image" as a scientific category. The author analyzes images that existed in different historical epochs. Attention is paid to the most effective and vivid images of political leaders.

Статья посвящена проблеме евразийской интеграции в процессе ее становления. Рассматриваются современное состояние и дальнейшие перспективы сотрудничества стран на постсоветском пространстве. Особое внимание уделено потенциальным участникам, которые могут войти в Евразийский союз. В заключение автор делает вывод о том, что реализация данного проекта необходима не только для экономической, но и для политической и культурной интеграции. ; The article is about the problem of Eurasian integration in the modern world. The author consideres the current conditions and future trends of cooperation between former Soviet Union countries. It should be also noted that the author paid particular attention to potential members of Eurasian union. Finaly the author concluded that implementation of such plan is necessary not only for economic but also for political and cultural integration.

"The author discusses in her chapter the EU which presents itself on the one hand, as a normative power and role model to other world regions, while on the other hand, it promotes norms such as gender equality in trade and aid policies. The author finds that the norm of gender equality collides with the neoliberal norms the EU incorporates in its trade regime. The contradictions and inconsistencies which result from this clash are prone to influence EU gender policies in region-to-region relations. By examining which consequences this has for the EU and the effectiveness of its policies, the author investigates the EU interregional relations with the Southern African Development Community (SADC)." In this article the author works with posthuman research practices to think with and through the natureculture figure of the pet–dog–child to explore specific dog practices she keeps encountering within the postcolonial nexus of Hong Kong, Britain, and China. By tracing, gathering, and reassembling six knotty aspects of the pet–dog–child figure (i.e. population governance, gender-expressive dogs, the Peke, Victorian sentimentality, becoming 'common', and designer dog-bags) the author shows how connections, movements, and disjunctures about pet, dog, and child emerge. By situating Hong Kong dog practices within colonialist flows and disjunctures, the author opens up space for thinking differently about childhoods as situated and gestures towards new ways of reconfiguring Hong Kong childhoods.

This article analyses the function of opening sequences in war films. With reference to Erll's studies on film and memory, the author suggests that, besides initiating processes of framing film worlds, opening sequences also activate a certain memory-making rhetoric that enables potential impacts on historical discourse and memory politics. He subdivides this last function into three rhetorical modes of cultural memory -- an objectifying, subjective and reflexive approach. Subsequently, the author provides close readings of the opening sequences of various contemporary war films to exemplify and illustrate each function and rhetorical mode. In conclusion, the author connects a recent surge in films employing a subjective and reflexive rhetoric to changes in imaging technologies. Анализируется нормативно-правовая база ООН, создающая основу деятельности государств по данному направлению. ; The author, using existing international legal base of the UN, carries out the analysis of the definitions in the sphere of counteraction to terrorism.The author learns questions of the international cooperation of the states in international peace and safety, especially the experience of UN in fight against terrorism. The author analyse standard-legal base of the UN, which create a basis of activity of the states in the antiterrorist politic.

The user's willingness to pay has become one of the most important success factors of hedonic social network site new business models and social media marketing activities. In the current study, the author investigates the influential factors of the user's willingness to pay from the hedonic system use theories and the social capital based view. The author finds that the user's perceived playfulness, which is considered a critical factor by practitioners, has no significant positive effect on the user's willingness to pay. Along with other findings, the author has a further discussion on the fun-based business model development. This study provides a theoretical foundation for the future HSNS economic value research and offers several implications to practitioners.

Analyzing the practices of development, application and research in managerial
social technologies, the author reveals a number of essential problems in their further
development. The revealed problems are combined into three groups: the problems of
theory and methodology, the problems of development and the problem of practical
application. Basing on the analysis of modern managerial social technologies, the
author suggests comprehensive and universal classification that uses the two criteria:
the content of technology and its functional relevance. The applied research taken by
the author and described in the article reveals that managerial social technologies as a
phenomenon are widespread in contemporary managerial practice. However the
practice is irregular and not systematic, while its efficiency is still low.

This article explores what the future might look like if strategies to reduce poverty were centered on love for the poor. First, the author provides a conceptual description of parenthood, drawing on complexity theory and developmental psychology. The author then shows that the same concepts apply to poverty reduction. These concepts serve as the basis for the description of a visionary scenario for the year 2030 in which poverty has been significantly reduced through strategies centered on love for the poor. The author then addresses a potential critique, arguing that, while rejecting this approach as "paternalistic" protects against the intentional denigration of the poor, it also constrains our thinking and delays the day when global poverty will ultimately be eliminated.

В статье исследуются образ и смыслы русской идеи. На основании изучения религиозных источников и исследовательской литературы по проблемам отечественной истории философии автор доказывает, что образным выражением русской идеи является «Россия-матушка», одновременно обращается внимание на антиномию религиозного и политического смыслов концепции «Москва Третий Рим» и «великая Россия». ; The author analyzes reflections and meanings of the russian idea. The author based his research on studies of religious sources and special literature on problems of history of Russian philosophy and elaborates upon the vivid expression of the Russian idea as «Mother Russia». At the same time the author researches the antinomy of religious and political meanings of such concepts as «Moscow is the Third Rome» and «The Great Russia».

In this article, the author compares the way in which anti-(ethnic) discrimination policies regarding access to social housing are implemented on the ground in Britain and France through case studies in Birmingham and Marseilles. Beyond sharp differences in the conceptions and "philosophies" of antidiscrimination policies in those two national "models" (a differentialist conception in Britain versus a universalist conception in France), the author shows the limits of these policies on the ground in both cases. In particular, the author shows how (a) the way in which ethnic discrimination is locally constructed as a public issue and (b) the constraints and contradictions faced by local institutions and street-level bureaucrats dealing with social housing on a day-to-day basis contribute to their failure.

This article makes two contributions to the empirical analysis of the socioeconomic achievement of ethnic minorities. The first contribution is methodological. The author relies on a discussion of the concept of equality of opportunity to analyze how the disadvantage suffered by ethnic minorities should be defined and empirically measured. The second contribution is empirical. The author estimates the disadvantage suffered by second-generation immigrants in the access to education, employment, and earnings in France. Contrary to most papers in this area, the author identifies second-generation immigrants in a consistent way, using information of parental geographic and national origin. He also discusses the extent to which measured earnings differentials reflect ethnic discrimination or ethnic-blind social inequalities.

The author reviews Abdurrakhman Khalil oglu Vezirov's book, "My Diplomatic Service" [Moia dipsluzhba]. The book describes the way in which ambassadors and senior diplomats were appointed in the Soviet Union to posts at embassies and consulates general. The author of the memoir was the first ever Azeri to become Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary heading diplomatic missions of the Soviet Union. The author gives fascinating accounts of his many daily meetings with diplomats in foreign capitals, beginning with contacts with the state's top officials, captains of industry, finance moguls and members of the public. Ambassador Vezirov's most important appointment was in Pakistan, where he was focused on working to improve the country's stance to the neighboring Soviet Afghan War during the 1980s. Kenny Cargill
