A tremendous number of objective video quality measurement algorithms have been developed during the last two decades. Most of them either measure a very limited aspect of the perceived video quality or they measure broad ranges of quality with limited prediction accuracy. This paper lists several perceptual artifacts that may be computationally measured in an isolated algorithm and some of the modeling approaches that have been proposed to predict the resulting quality from those algorithms. These algorithms usually have a very limited application scope but have been verified carefully. The paper continues with a review of some standardized and well-known video quality measurement algorithms that are meant for a wide range of applications, thus have a larger scope. Their individual artifacts prediction accuracy is usually lower but some of them were validated to perform sufficiently well for standardization. Several difficulties and shortcomings in developing a general purpose model with high prediction performance are identified such as a common objective quality scale or the behavior of individual indicators when confronted with stimuli that are out of their prediction scope. A 2000-es évek fordulója után a múzeum intézménye egyre nyitottabbá és részvételibbé válik, a hangsúly a közönség bevonzásán túl az aktív bevonáson, a közösség erősítésén és a közös tudástermelésen van. Ennek megfelelően a múzeum új módszertanokat adaptál eszköztárába, e folyamat során kerül be a részvételi videó is. A tanulmányomban arra a kérdésre keresem a választ, hogy milyen módokon használható fel a részvételi videó múzeumpedagógiai és/vagy mediátori módszerként. A választott példákon keresztül mutatom be a részvételi filmezés módszertanát és annak múzeumi adaptációit, elemzem a Decolonising Cultural Spaces: The Living Cultures (2020) című projektet. Valamint bemutatok két magyarországi részvételi filmes múzeumi foglalkozást is: a Magyar Zsidó Múzeum részvételi filmes táborát (2015) és a Soproni Múzeum MyStory mintaprojektjét (2018).

During the last decade of the 20th century, Mexico experienced one of the bloodiest times in its contemporary history. Conservative estimates pointed at more than 275 thousand deaths in those years and the number of war orphans exceeded that of the Croatian war. In the international media, there was talk of a war between drug cartels, but the war involved much more than that; the civilian population suffered a lot of damage. Just as the indigenous revolution of the Zapatista National Liberation Army (EZLN for its acronym in Spanish) gained immediate worldwide attention through the internet, the actors of the war between cartels used the web to broadcast videos of executions and murders. Based on an exemplar analysis of videos on killing posted on the internet from Mexico during this decade, this contribution will focus on the sequential embedding of the actors' actions in performing the killing as the final episode of a long torture period. The central focus of this contribution is to expose the methodological and epistemological reflections that arise on empathy and voyeurism when analyzing the unequal hierarchical relationship between victims and perpetrators in these video diaries. Our theoretical observations are marked by the frames of conversational and narrative analysis in violent situations that will end with victims' deaths. But also, we will explore questions like what sociologists must do in such cases of state terrorism. What is the role for sociological research and social responsibility in such circumstances?

Digital content, particularly audiovisual material, sourced on the Internet is unlikely to remain usable and discoverable into the long term as a result of file corruption, format obsolescence, unreliable hosting sites, and insufficient metadata. In this overview, the risks to the material, the current preservation efforts being undertaken by remix communities, and suggested methods that creators of remix video can use to help their material survive into the next digital generation are presented.
