The idea of Continuing education suggests that something is missing that ought to be filled in, therefore the contemporary notion of education goes beyond what only take place in the four walls of the classroom. Continuing education connotes that sub-set of adult education that seeks to positively link the needs and aspirations of individuals with educational activities, for development of their potentialities and for the socioeconomic and political development of a nation or state. The paper examined the concepts of continuing education, objectives, forms, contents and challenges of continuing education and also highlighted the prospects that a nation or individuals can derive or achieve through the sustained impact of continuing education.

The transition to adulthood for many is mediated by class, culture, and local/global influences on identity. This volume analyzes the global injustices that create inequities and restrict future opportunities for young people during this transitional time, including poverty, unemployment, human rights, race, ethnicity and location. It critically examines global instances of youth discrimination, offering positive strategies and practices such as youth work that successfully remediate these injustices. The paper discusses the role of teachers in the inclusion of migrant students and provides some suggestions for the active engagement of teachers in developing intercultural education, with examples from Slovenia. To support teachers who develop intercultural competence among all students, it is important to include concrete learning objectives in the syllabuses, in the framework of which teachers will be able to teach about social diversity. It will also be necessary to introduce content about multiethnic, multilingual, and multireligious society into the academic programmes, so that (future) teachers are more prepared for a diverse school environment and the development of an intercultural society.

This article contributes to the debate on the efficacy of traditional forms of education versus vocational training. The effects of technical education (leading to an engineering degree or diploma) and vocational training in engineering on the performance of Indian firms are analysed using regression models based on the Cobb–Douglas production function, enhanced to incorporate education and training. Instrumental variable approach is used to establish the direction of causality. It is found that that when a larger share of workers in a particular sector has a college or university-level technical education or vocational education in technical fields, there is a positive impact on firm performance in those sectors. Further, higher education in a general field seems to consistently benefit the organised manufacturing sector, while some levels of school education appear to benefit the unorganised sectors. This design involves having students create actual companies and focuses all classroom attention on the interpersonal processes of managing a small group. This article describes modifications made to Nirenberg's model that were stimulated by feedback from our culturally diverse student body. Our modifications and innovations include: (a) providing "thought starters" to help students evaluate their course experiences, (b) changing the method of selecting group leaders, (c) requiring a business plan for the project, (d) requiring teams to develop a performance appraisal and feedback system for assessing members, (e) adding the use of textbooks, and (f) using several team-building activities during the semester.

It is investigational as in a oriented of the modern system of education to activity of personality, independence in the choice of subjects and time of mastering of information. It is marked that passing to the new paradigm of education with the dominant of self-education, coincides with the individual necessities of people and takes place at combination of institutional education and self-education. The self-education of personality is considered as the sociocultural phenomenon, that is related not only to education but also with development of society on the whole.
